Two Planes Collide At Lagos Airport




Another near air disaster was recorded at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos yesterday when a Turkish Airline aircraft collided with a Max Air plane which brought in pilgrims from Saudi Arabia.

Although details of the accident were sketchy at press time, airport sources said the Turkish plane had landed safely and was taxing to a stop at the apron, when its wing collided with that of Max Air.

The incident caused minor damages to both planes which were immediately taken away for repairs.

Spokesman of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Mr. Fan Ndubuoke, confirmed the incident. He described damages to the aircraft as minor.
