The Claire Pettibone Fall 2014 Bridal Collection brightened
up the runway at New York International Bridal Week with exquisitely, artful,
bridal gowns.
The show was a floral affair with a dramatic backdrop, and
an array of gorgeous petals on the runway floor. The gorgeous palette was
unparalleled by anything else designers had to offer at New York International
Bridal Week. The delicate, vintage inspired collection triumphed with exquisite
floral embroideries, precious butterfly motifs, and elegant silks and gold
lace. The rich colors of the runway melded perfectly with the extraordinary
gowns – who would have ever thought of wearing black to your own wedding as
fascinating. The black sheer incorporated into the vintage sheath dress is an
amazing sight with the bright-embroidered floral design. The unique and
charming gowns are as fresh and lovely as a spring day. The gold lace embroidery
makes the collection one-of-a-kind. Oh, the beautiful display of the Claire
Pettibone Fall 2014 Bridal Collection- it is truly a work of art!
Few bridal shows leave me totally captivated, but the Claire
Pettibone Fall 2014 Bridal Collection is a stunning and inspired collection
that was born from the love of art. For those of you who appreciate the arts,
the theme of the collection is “Still Life”. The collection reminded me of a
Claude Monet work of art come to life, on the runway at New York International
Bridal Week. The inspiring artist for the collection is Rachel Ruysch, with her
piece “Still Life of Flowers on a Marble Table”. Claire Pettibone states, “The
brilliance of nature’s beauty is highlighted to dramatic effect, just as the
bride becomes the center of our attention. Graceful details adorn delicate
silks and laces gilded in gold, glowing as if lit from within. The rich floral
embroideries give the effect of a painting come to life, while a few artful
butterflies flutter in”.
