Talk about putting everyone in the room in the mood for
spring break. Twin brothers, Dean and Dan Caten’s tropical getaway runway
opened Milan Fashion Week by creating a fun and playful atmosphere. Covered in white
sand, the runway was smoking after the models walked to the cha-cha and mambo
rhythms of the show. The jungle backdrop of the runway featuring a tiki bar,
which only served to complement the collection as it did not take away from the
collection, it amplified it. Instead of imagining yourself on a paradise
island, you felt like you were actually on one. The imaginative design of the
show was perfect.
Taking a page from the curvy girl fashions of the 1950’s,
the brothers created the perfect line to show off your hourglass figure. The
focal point of many of the outfits in the collection was on the tiny waist.
Several of the dresses had padded hips in order to exaggerate the models
figures. The collection also featured stunning laser-cut petal dresses. The
look is completely unique and in a class of its own. The retro, high-waist
briefs make for fabulous beach attire. The bright and colorful prints are a
noteworthy addition to the collection that any fashion lover will adore. From
exotic jumpsuits to exquisite retro party dresses, the collection is full of
reasons to run to the nearest fashion outlet, and purchase some items from the
Dsquared2 Spring 2014 RTW Collection.
