The McQ Spring 2014 RTW Collection Slithers into London Fashion Week

As always, Sarah Burton continues the legacy of her mentor, Alexander McQueen, in the McQ 2014 Spring RTW Collection, which debuted at London Fashion Week. The collection is alive with vibrant, colorful, lizard prints that dazzled in a way that only Alexander McQueen could create. The collection focuses on reptiles, lace, and digital prints of bunnies, no joke intended. In yet another eclectic triumph, Sarah Burton does her mentor proud in what has to be one of her most interesting creations yet. Not quite snakeskin, the collection is a kaleidoscopic collision of color; the reptilian nature of the collection is creative and eye-catching.

Even with all the bright colors, the collection still managed to come off with the classic McQueen signatures: dark, edgy, and gothic. If you are a fan of the Raving Rabbids you will take great appreciation of the digital evil bunny print thrown into the dark genius of the collection, which collection boasts short skirts with tailored Capri pants, while showing a bit of a tuxedo influence. I could not help but take note of the toned-down accessories of this collection. The usual spectacle we have become accustomed to when it comes to the accessories of the collection came in a few choice chokers. The collection melds the worlds of punk rock, Goth, and bikers into an interesting twist that can only be called the McQ Spring 2014 RTW Collection.
