Men Should Not Share Their Wife's Breasts With Their Kids- Expert

According to an expert, having the mouth of a man as well as that of an infant on the breasts of a nursing mother could prove detrimental. This is why men have been told to desist from sharing their wives' breasts with infants as the act could lead to injury for the mother and also expose the baby to infection.

This piece of advice was given out by Professor Angela Oyo Ita, the Commissioner for Health of Cross River State, at the opening ceremony for the 2013 Breast Feeding Week at Akpabuyo local Government Area of the state. Prof. Ita stated that men sharing their wives' breasts while they are breast feeding could inflict wound on the breasts and if the woman is HIV positive, the child could be exposed to the infection.

Professor Oyo Ita who was represented by the Director Nutrition of the Ministry of Health, Mrs Regina Adie called on the women to practice exclusive breast feeding because it has been proven that beast milk contains 80% water and 20% minerals that are essential for the child's growth." The World Health Organisation, the United Nation International Children Educational Fund, and other renowned world agencies have carried out studies and it has proven that breast milk is the best in keeping the child healthy, strong and happy".

She said myths that a child that is exclusively fed on breast milk for six months would at some point die out of thirst is not true because beast milk contains enough water to keep the child happy and satisfied. "Some time ago, we came here and had a meeting with the men and called on them to support their wives to carry out exclusive breast feeding for their children and the men said no because the children would die from the thirst for water, but that is not true".

The Health Commissioner said the theme for this year's breast feeding week. 'Breast Feeding, Close to Mother", was apt because the relationship between the mother and the child becomes stronger when the mother breast feeds the baby exclusively for six months. "If you look at the face of your baby during breast feeding, you would see joy and satisfaction on the face and that brings the child closer to the mother".Mrs Rosemary Effiong, the Chairman of Akpabuyo Local Government Area said breast feeding keeps children strong and free of health challenges and "We in Akpabuyo do not want to have children who would put unnecessary pressure on our health facilities, so let every mother listen and obey the instruction of the focal person on breast feeding".
Mrs Effiong who was represented by the Secretary of Council, Mr Edem Okon said the council would continue to offer the needed support to mothers through financial empowerment to enable them feed well to breast feed their children.

When you see yourself though the eyes of your man(Must Read)

This is a very enlightening article by Raj Eteng. Many ladies can relate to this. I can relate to this(In the past)Enjoy and feel free to share your thoughts.. she just started writing and needs encouragement ..just like y'all encourage me

Have you ever wondered why his impression of you or his comments about you have the most effect on you? Or how the whole world tells you your lovely but the instant he says you’re not lovely you cringe into this dark hole of insecurity and nothing else matters…not even a truckload of compliments from every other person? That, my dear, is because for some strange reason you see yourself through his eyes only and you let him define your personality.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against criticisms in relationships. If for anything at all, I think it’s a major part of any union. But lets face it, there’s a fine line between destructive criticism and constructive criticism. In any union, I am of the opinion that its either constructive or nothing at all.
It is very disturbing that most girls don’t know when to draw the line in their relationships. Sucking up to a guy and his not-so-pleasant ways may have its upsides, when he crosses the line, you need to set the record straight. You may be his girlfriend, but you are ultimately YOU and you define yourself.
An emotional bully may start of as your type of guy, sweet, caring , very articulate and fun to be with. Frankly, no one would blame any #girl for falling for such qualities. But then, very slowly, he starts drifting more and more into his ugly persona. At that stage of the relationship when you have become really attached to him, he psychologically gets a grip of your  mentality.
He conveniently makes you believe what he wants you to in very silent and usually untraceable ways.  He constantly preys on your imperfections and vulnerabilities, makes you believe that your never going to be good enough, creates the mindset that he is doing you a favour by dating you and thus the reason why you must remain by his side no matter what he does to you (after all, no one else wants you).

I don’t understand how ladies endure through this bitterness for even longer than 5 months (after he stops being sweet of course). I mean, how long does it take to realize that for each minute you spend with him, several ounces of your self esteem find a way to escape from you right into his egotistical being? While your confidence levels depreciates, his appreciates because he clearly feeds off you.
In my opinion, whether or not he gets physical with you, that’s more than enough bullshit that a lady should take.  Forget about your fears, if a man isn't doing you right, then it isn't right…and you definitely want what is right. Give up trying to change him because in reality, the only person you can change is you.
So, if he hasn’t put a ring on it, then my dear single/married ladies, it is definitely time to WALK. Making a mistake isn’t the mistake, choosing to remain in your mistake, is the mistake.

NIGERIAN JAILED 90 YEARS IN US FOR FATHERING SIX CHILDREN WITH OWN DAUGHTERS [PHOTO]

An award-winning Nigerian music director, Aswad Ayinde, found guilty of fathering children with his daughters will spend the rest of his life in jail.

According to Mail Online, Ayinde, 55, of Paterson, New Jersey, United States, was sentenced to 50 years in prison on Friday after being found guilty in the second of five expected trials in which he is accused of repeatedly raping his six daughters, resulting in six children being fathered.

Mr. Ayinde was found guilty in his latest trial of having intercourse with a daughters when she was as young as eight-years-old. The second sentence adds to the 40 year sentence Mr Ayinde received in a 2011 trial for sexually assaulting a separate daughter.

Mr. Ayinde is known for directing the music video for the Fugees 1996 smash hit “Killing Me Softly.”

In a disturbing disclosure during his first trial, Mr. Ayinde’s former wife said he was trying to create a “pure family bloodline” by impregnating his daughters. He even claimed during a pre-trial hearing before the first trial that “the world was going to end, and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen.”

In this latest trial, it was revealed that Mr. Ayinde began having intercourse with his second daughter from the time she eight-years-old, impregnating her four times.

The sexual assaults happened for almost 30 years until Mr. Ayinde and his wife separated, officials said. They occurred in numerous homes across northern New Jersey, even while the family was under watch of state child welfare officials, according to NBC New York. Some of the rapes even took place in an abandoned funeral home.

The family moving as far away as Florida to avoid investigation after case workers removed multiple children from the Ayinde household in 2000, resulting in Mr. Ayinde being arrested for kidnapping for trying to take them from state custody in a medical center, NBC New York reported.

He pleaded guilty to lesser charges and received a year’s probation – as he continued raping one daughter for at least another two years, according to officials.

The depraved father also beat and starved the girls using wooden boards and steel-toed boots for even “minor transgressions,” Ayinde’s wife testified at the first trial.

Some of the children Ayinde fathered with his daughters were born in the home, with at least two babies who died in the home having been buried without notifying authorities or obtaining birth certificates, NBC New York reported.

Ayinde’s tortured daughters were home schooled and isolated from other children, so as to keep the family secrets hidden, the station added.

With his wife too afraid to confront him, Mr. Ayinde carried out his evil plan without hindrance even while directing the music video for the Fugees 1996 breakout hit ‘Killing Me Softly, for which he won  ‘Best R&B Video’ at the 1996 MTV Music Video Awards. The Fugees are also originally from Northern New Jersey.

LOOKING FOR A CHEAP PLACE TO STAY IN NEW YORK? INSIDE THE COCKROACH-INFESTED 'HOTEL' WHERE MORE THAN 100 MEN SLEEP SIDE-BY-SIDE IN CHICKEN WIRE 'KENNELS'

h

It’s a New York hotel offering 'cages' for just $10 a night - and you get what you pay for.
The single rooms at Chinatown's The Sun Bright Hotel have been described as 'animal shelters', where more than 100 disadvantaged men live side by side in cockroach-infested chicken wire boxes.
Only men are allowed in the 'kennels' on the third and fourth floors, and the rooms are just seven by five feet - smaller than a prison's solitary-confinement cell.
And at least one resident reported the body of a man was left to rot in his room for 15 days before it was removed - and the room wasn't even cleaned afterward.

The allegations come from the New York Post, which sent a reporter to check out the cut-rate hotel.
'It was horrible - like an animal shelter,' a first responder recently called to the hotel told
'I picked up a suit on the wall and roaches fell out. Hundreds of them.'
More than 100 men on the floor share one bathroom with two shower stalls, four toilets and one urinal. Cockroaches, vermin and fleas infest the dilapidated building, and black mold covers most of the walls, according to the Post.
The owners of the hotel have not responded to allegations. Managers were not available for comment to MailOnline early Monday.
The six-story building doesn't have an elevator, and most floors lack air conditioning, according to reports.
New York Post reports the city Department of Buildings has issued the budget hotel with 46 summonses since 1988.
It has 22 open violations for converting the second and fifth floors into a hostel and installing laundry equipment on the second floor.

David Rodriguez, 74, has lived in his room for 16 years, paying just $310 a month for his little bed in a cockroach-infested cubicle.
'Somebody died on the other side, and he was there about 15 days,' the retired cab driver told the Post.
'[Management] left it dirty. It smelled very bad -  a dead man!
'There’s a whole bunch of nuts around here. I don’t feel comfortable, but what am I going to do? I can’t do nothing. I can’t pay $1,000 for an apartment.'
The story about a dead man being left inside a room for more than two weeks has not been verified.
However many of the dorm rooms which aren't occupied by long-term tenants are rented out to backpackers.

The hotel boasts on its website that rooms are 'cozy' and affordable.
'Whether you're traveling for business or pleasure, Sun Bright Hotel offers a variety of room types to ensure comfort for your needs at low prices,' the website states. 'Our rooms are clean, affordable and very cozy.'
However the promotional pictures of the rooms it has posted, which have also been uploaded to online review guide Yelp, do not paint the full picture.
The rooms are small, but clean, with white walls and spotless toilet facilities.
One Yelp reviewer wrote: 'The place is a total dump. Don't stay here if you don't like camping, are afraid of cockroaches, mold or mildew.'
Another wrote: 'Prison! The second floor looks clean but if you go to other floors, you'll ask yourself what have you done to deserve this. You'll see cats, cat food, roaches, floor tiles peeling off, smell of cigarettes even though it says no smoking.'

Misleading? These images from the review site Yelp offer a stark contrast to the scenes of squalor depicted inside the hotel by the New York Post

Disabled construction worker John Arkue has lived on the third floor for 15 years.
'They keep all the garbage all on this floor,' he told New York Post.
'Sometimes the garbage sits here. Like on a Saturday, we don’t put the garbage out. We got roaches, we got flies, you know? Did you look in the bathroom? It’s falling down, the ceiling and stuff.'
Two months ago, the building was sold for $14.8 million to Bowery 88 LLC, which shares its address with the headquarters of clothing retailer Dr. Jays.
Mail Online contacted Dr. Jays but no one was immediately available for comment.

ACCIDENT: GOVERNOR OKOROCHA LEAVES UK FOR ISRAEL

Governor Rochas Okorocha
Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has left London where he was receiving medical treatment for Israel, it was learnt on Saturday.

Okorocha had left Nigeria on April 20, 2013, after he sustained a head injury in a car accident.

When our correspondent made an enquiry from one of his aides on Friday it was learnt that Okorocha had left London for Israel.

Okorocha’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Ebere Uzoukwa, confirmed that the governor had left London. “He has left London and he is doing very well. He is currently in Israel,” he said.

Another top government official, who pleaded anonymity said that the governor was in Israel for a second round of examination.

Uzoukwa, however, denied that the governor moved to Israel on health grounds.

“He only went to Israel to attend to certain matters and will be back soon,” he said.

Okorocha was involved in a car crash on Orlu-Owerri Road in the state on April 19.

The accident occurred when a Mercedes Benz 200 ran into the governor’s convoy and had a collision with his own car.

Okorocha was on an inspection tour of projects in Orlu area when the crash occurred.

“The accident led to a minor cut on the governor’s scalp,” Uzoukwa had said.

He said Okorocha’s head was bandaged, but noted that he was stable and strong.

Okorocha had said he would seek further medical attention due to the level of impact of the accident on him.

“Although the accident left me with a cut and some minor injuries, I am fine. I will, however, seek further medical attention because of the degree of impact made by the crash,” the governor was quoted as saying after the crash.

EXPENSIVE SEX........

The police officer asked the middle-aged woman sarcastically: “Did he pop you?” Apparently uncomfortable with the presence of a small crowd that had gathered, she was reluctant to answer the question. But the man at the centre of the matter roundly denied the accusation. The sex hawker he brought home the previous night had alleged that he slept with her and refused to pay for services rendered all night long. He told the policemen who arrested him, that he refused to pay her because he dozed off without touching her, due to excessive booze. It was obvious he did not convince the police because the prostitute was asked again: “Did he pop you?” and she replied: “He popped me.”

This was despite the man’s insistence that, “I didn’t have sex with her and I can’t pay for what I did not eat.” The incident was one of the endless stories of men who go home with sex hawkers but end up with ugly experiences.
Checks by Sunday Sun revealed that the fear of prostitutes who agree to go home with their randy male clients is the beginning of wisdom for most night crawlers. For the cautious among these men, they sleep with one eye open, mindful that the bag of most call-girls are usually loaded with weapons of ‘mass destruction’ including razor blades, powdery substances that could be charms or drugs, and knives that cool come handy when a client proves difficult. For the uninformed, the drugs come useful when the hawker wants to put her host to sleep to enable her steal and escape. Narrating his experience with a woman of easy virtue that he brought home one night, a man, Osas Ife (not real name), said: “These days, many prostitutes are not after sex or even their fees because for most of them, the fee is not enough.

They can go any length to steal from the man who took them home. We (men) are after sex while they are strategizing on how to poison you, get your money and disappear. They want to get rich quickly, which makes them more devilish than armed robbers. “When you call a hawker to join you, you need to observe whether she is the kind of person that doesn’t take much drink because she might have a plan. While others are drinking and enjoying themselves, she keeps her head because she has a target – to loot. She came home with you, to drug you because maybe, she has an urgent financial need to meet. When you bring her to your house, she would take her bath before you. Then, as a man of the house, you would go to take your bath, and while you are still inside the bathroom, she would take a bottle of drink from your bar and drug it. She would pretend to like that particular drink and insist that both of you drink it.

But the moment you drink it, she would quickly reject it, knowing you have consumed much, and demand for a different drink. “I had been drugged by a prostitute, and before I woke up, she disappeared. She ransacked my house and made away with some of my expensive items and a friend’s belongings that I had to pay for.” Osas was not the only one that had the ugly encounter with women of easy virtues. Ade who pleaded to use only his first name, told story of a man duped at prominent hotel at Ajao-Estate recently. “In the game between us and prostitutes, interests differ because they are after money, not for sex these days. Many of them have one thing at the back of their mind – how to drug you and take your money. Often times, they want to dupe you in order to attend to urgent needs either at school or their homes. They can eliminate you, to achieve their aim. It is really a cat and dog game. You really need to shine your eyes when you are with them because they can do anything.

They always know why they came. “Last week, we were in a hotel at Ajao-Estate, when one man narrated his experience in the hands of a prostitute. He said he met the girl at Ikeja and took her to an apartment where he spent three days with her. Listening to the man’s different calls from his business partners, the hawker realized that he does not live in Nigeria. Moreover, he counted his money in her presence because, according to him, the girl looked very decent. “One day, the man came home with N500,000 that he couldn’t pay into his bank and kept the money in his bag. Later, he invited her downstairs for a drink but the call girl said she was too tired to move out of the room. The man went downstairs and before he came back to the room, the girl had gone with the money he kept in the wardrobe.

“I opened the bag of a prostitute who came to my house some time ago. Do you know what I saw? Razor blade and white substance that I suspect, was drug. I refused to go and take my bath after her because of the fear of the unknown”, he stated. Also, Ayo and his friend recalled how they were locked inside their room for refusing to pay a prostitute they took home after heavy drinking. “My friend and I went out to drink and after taking some bottles, we decided to go home with a prostitute. When we got home, my friend and I took our bath but she told us she did not need a bath. Apparently due to the heavy drink, we soon fell asleep without touching her, and the next day, she insisted that we must pay her, whereas we had paid her madam. While we were still on bed, arguing with her, she walked out of the room and locked us inside. It was our shout for help that attracted my neighbours who begged her before she opened the door. She threatened to throw away the keys and make us spend the whole day inside the room.

“My advice is, if you are going home with any of them, you must be smart and sharp. I didn’t pay her because we gave her madam N5000”, Ayo said. Another victim who identified himself as Bright told Sunday Sun, how a fight erupted between him and a sex hawker and he was forced to pay for services not rendered. “I am not the drinking type because I can’t drink more than one bottle and a half. Whenever I drink above my limit and I take a prostitute home, I can’t perform. On this particular occasion, I returned with one of them but I hardly touched her in the night because I was weak to the bone.

She begged for it but I told her that I had no strength. She even came on top of me, yanked down my trousers and tried to arouse me but to no avail. The next morning, she demanded for her fee but I reminded her that I didn’t shag her at night. We had a serious fight before neighbours separated us and advised me to pay her. Unknown to me, she had stolen some of my belongings. It was after she left that I discovered that some things were missing. Up till now, I have not set my eyes on that prostitute. I still go out to sleep with them, but I hardly bring them home because that one thought me a lesson. Each time I bring them to my house, I sleep with one eye closed while the other is open enough to watch her”, Bright said.
