Clara Chime, First Lady Of Enugu State, Begs Human Rights Groups To Release Her From House Arrest Imposed By Governor Sullivan Chime

Clara Chime, the First Lady of Enugu State, says Governor Sullivan Chime, has placed her under house arrest, and has cried out for assistance to reach human rights bodies to rescue her.

In a letter dripping with pain and suffering, Mrs. Chime disclosed that she married Mr. Chime in October 2008 but that she has been unable to share the matrimonial bed with him for over four years.
Describing her desperate situation, she said that even President Goodluck Jonathan and First Lady Patience Jonathan have intervened with her husband without success.

"My father is late, my Mum and few of my siblings are confused and have done all kinds of prayers they know of, 3 of my siblings prefers me dead than to see me leave the Government house.  He treats my Mum and my siblings bad," she wrote.
The Enugu State First Lady said she has been introduced to two psychiatrists whose names she gave as Dr. Onwukwe and Dr. Agumo, who have prescribed "all kinds of drugs that ends up keeping me acute depressed and also drives me into hallucinations."

The doctors, she noted, are scared of her husband the Governor, to whom nobody can tell the truth.
According to the letter, the Catholic Bishop of Enugu state (Callistus Onaga), and top priests have come to intervene, as have the President and the First Lady of the nation, without success.
Mrs. Chime further complains that Governor Chime has ordered her to leave with her four-year old son whom she conceived before their wedding.  However, the governor, according to her, later threatened to disown the boy should she leave with him.

 "He has told everyone he can reach that there is no marriage between us that I can leave if I wish to but whenever I plan to leave he instructs them to lock me in.  I have told him through Sms that I will leave my son behind and leave alone but still he instructed his securities to lock me inside the house."

Mrs. Chime further complains she has lost touch with the real world and all that makes her beautiful because of the side effects of the drugs she is taking, stressing that she is under house arrest for committing no crime.

Of the situation in Government House, she said,
"He does not take care of me personally, the government gives me allowance to run the house and that's where I save little from to take care of my elf, my Mum and few of my siblings," she said in the letter.  He shut me out of his life years ago; I don't have access to his apartment. The problem is enormous; I don't know where to start to explain from."

She said that even the security detail in the lodge has resorted to praying for her, while the few that can be bought with money are taking advantage of the situation.
"Police and SS men have been instructed by Mr Sullivan Chime to confine me in a place for a long time now against my wish [but] it is my wish to leave these premises," she said, begging,

"Please assist me to reach to the human rights and say to them to please come hastily and release me."

Why I go naked,cut my hair, & stick my tongue out-Miley Cyrus

 I’m very confident being naked, I feel that stripping off is a way of expressing purity of emotion.’

 ‘I want to be memorable. That’s what my fans want too. Everyone’s talking about me, waiting to see what I’m doing next. And, yeah, I like things to be bright and colourful and fun, but then I make “Wrecking Ball”, which is darker and grey. And then I’ll maybe go back to running around being crazy. I want to keep people guessing.’

More below

‘I’m trying to break out of that long hair, big boobs stereotype that #women feel they have to conform to. I mean, we’re not living in the freakin’ 1950s – short hair is OK. Have people really got so little imagination? Every morning I look in the mirror and I feel like a blank canvas and I choose who I want to be. In a normal job you have to live by someone else’s rules, but I’m in a job where my work is play and I don’t have to pretend to be something I’m not

‘For me, role models are people who are good people; I stick my tongue out because straight photos are sooo boring. But even if I do stick my tongue out, that doesn’t change the quality of the human being inside. I’d rather be honest and upfront; being a good person isn’t about sitting with your legs crossed. I’m just being who I am, which is the best example I can be. I am an entertainer, what would be the point if I looked like every other singer out there? Being young, it’s important for me to learn and grow and not fit into a box.’

When you see yourself though the eyes of your man(Must Read)

This is a very enlightening article by Raj Eteng. Many ladies can relate to this. I can relate to this(In the past)Enjoy and feel free to share your thoughts.. she just started writing and needs encouragement ..just like y'all encourage me

Have you ever wondered why his impression of you or his comments about you have the most effect on you? Or how the whole world tells you your lovely but the instant he says you’re not lovely you cringe into this dark hole of insecurity and nothing else matters…not even a truckload of compliments from every other person? That, my dear, is because for some strange reason you see yourself through his eyes only and you let him define your personality.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against criticisms in relationships. If for anything at all, I think it’s a major part of any union. But lets face it, there’s a fine line between destructive criticism and constructive criticism. In any union, I am of the opinion that its either constructive or nothing at all.
It is very disturbing that most girls don’t know when to draw the line in their relationships. Sucking up to a guy and his not-so-pleasant ways may have its upsides, when he crosses the line, you need to set the record straight. You may be his girlfriend, but you are ultimately YOU and you define yourself.
An emotional bully may start of as your type of guy, sweet, caring , very articulate and fun to be with. Frankly, no one would blame any #girl for falling for such qualities. But then, very slowly, he starts drifting more and more into his ugly persona. At that stage of the relationship when you have become really attached to him, he psychologically gets a grip of your  mentality.
He conveniently makes you believe what he wants you to in very silent and usually untraceable ways.  He constantly preys on your imperfections and vulnerabilities, makes you believe that your never going to be good enough, creates the mindset that he is doing you a favour by dating you and thus the reason why you must remain by his side no matter what he does to you (after all, no one else wants you).

I don’t understand how ladies endure through this bitterness for even longer than 5 months (after he stops being sweet of course). I mean, how long does it take to realize that for each minute you spend with him, several ounces of your self esteem find a way to escape from you right into his egotistical being? While your confidence levels depreciates, his appreciates because he clearly feeds off you.
In my opinion, whether or not he gets physical with you, that’s more than enough bullshit that a lady should take.  Forget about your fears, if a man isn't doing you right, then it isn't right…and you definitely want what is right. Give up trying to change him because in reality, the only person you can change is you.
So, if he hasn’t put a ring on it, then my dear single/married ladies, it is definitely time to WALK. Making a mistake isn’t the mistake, choosing to remain in your mistake, is the mistake.

Health Benefits of Sleeping on Hard Beds

There are numerous comforts and necessities that cling to human notion of luxury and one of these is sleep. All sorts of people may they be professionals, students, babies, housewives do not comprise on the quality of their sleep. With the ever increasing tensions and complications in human life, a good night’s sleep is considered to rejuvenate a person and affects the general health positively.
Health benefits to relieve backache by sleeping on hard beds
One of the most significant health benefits of hard beds is the relief from pains!
Sleep and health are intricately related. As per the scientific studies, the hard surfaces or hard mattresses tend to keep intact the structure of our bones, chemical balance and blood circulation. One basic health benefit of hard beds is that they reshape the back and realign the body. If as a result of some disease, your back or bones are distorted then doctors prescribe the use of a hard mattress. Some people argue that rather than sleeping on a mattress, it is better to sleep on the ground but scientific studies have shown that human bones need a resistance and a support if one lies down in the position of sleep.

Scientific proofs of health benefited by sleeping on hard bed.
Hard surfaces benefit health because human body structure requires a support!
It is claimed that the human body has evolved from a mammalian body and the internal structure is more or less same but humans are two-legged organisms and hence, they require all the support they can get. A hard bed or surface provides that. The upright posture of human beings strains some specific joints and bones. Hence, sleeping on hard beds keeps the body healthy and tight. The joints are not sagged and an adequate amount of resistance is provided to the body.
The arterial and venal structure of humans is very profuse. While a person walks or exercises, the blood is pumped equally but as soon as a person sinks in a soft bed, they circulatory system also goes limp. This is the most important health benefit of sleeping on hard beds that hard surfaces remove the obstructions in our circulatory system and the blood is pumped to each and every corner of the body systematically.

ENJOYING YOUR LIFE

Sometimes we just need to cry;
We just need to let for a little while;
Most of our days are spent being strong, being in charge, taking care of others;
But if we don't STOP for a while and allow ourselves' to feel;
Then we will become numb to our own selves';
So remember to take care of you;
And if crying is what you need to do;
Allow yourself to shed tears of healing;
For crying is one of the most therapeutic tools there are;
And it's one we need to practice on a regular basis;
Just because you cry doesn't mean you are weak;
It's how we were created;
It's a form of release;
So make sure you are taking care of you first;
For taking care of others is not possible;
Unless first you take care of yourself.

PRIVATE JET OWNERS IN NIGERIA TO PAY LUXURY TAX

The Federal Government is planning to impose a form of luxury tax on owners and operators of private jets in the country, top officials of the Ministry of Aviation have confirmed.

The plan, currently being fine-tuned by the Aviation Reform Committee, which is also looking into certain areas of the aviation sector, will be perfected very soon.

According to the top government officials close to the move, the plan to impose the luxury tax will be preceded by the new general aviation policy, which is currently being drafted by the government.

Ahead of the release of the general aviation policy, the Aviation ministry has reviewed the 2006 Civil Aviation Act, which will lead to the promulgation of a new Act.

It was learnt that the ministry was planning to send the draft Civil Aviation Bill to the National Assembly.

However, the ministry is currently taking the draft bill to some stakeholders for their input and comments.

In the proposed general aviation policy, the government is also planning to stop private jet owners from making use of the Air Operators Certificate. An AOC is a permit that allows aircraft owners and operators to do commercial flights.

Government, it was gathered, reasoned that since private jets owners did not operate commercial flights, it was needless to continue to require them to possess the AOC.

However, sources close to the situation said the proposal to exempt the private jet owners from possessing the AOC before they could be permitted to fly under the policy would be followed up with the introduction of the luxury tax.

A source privy to the plan explained that the luxury tax on all private jet owners. “is patterned after what is in operation in Brazil and most European countries.”

The source said, “You know the government is exempting private jet owners from possessing AOC in the proposed general aviation policy that will be unveiled very soon. As soon as this is implemented, the government will start asking all private jets to pay the luxury tax.”

The official added, “The idea is that since chartered aircraft operators and regular commercial airlines are already paying ticket sales tax and passenger service tax to the government, private jet owners should also pay a form of tax, which most countries of the world called luxury tax. The plan to exempt private jet owners from possessing an AOC before they can fly is just part of the whole policy proposal.

“All these foreign private jets coming into the country must either come under an AOC and be mandated to pay ticket sales charge and passenger service charge, or you stay under private category and pay luxury tax. Once you are flying within the country for some time, you must fall in one of the categories.”

When contacted, the Special Assistant (Media) to the Minister of Aviation, Mr. Joe Obi, said there was the need to wait for the government to unveil the new general aviation policy.

In a text message response sent to our correspondent, Obi said, “Let’s wait for the new policy to be released first.”

If the government implements the luxury tax policy, popular business moguls, bank executives and religious leaders who own private jets will be mandated to pay the tax.

They are the President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote; Chairman, Globacom, Dr. Mike Adenuga; Chairman, Zenon Oil, Mr. Femi Otedola; General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye; and General Overseer, Living Faith World Outreach, Bishop David Oyedepo.

The government had suspended the importation of private jets for some months now, owing to the new general aviation policy being put together by the Aviation ministry.

Top ministry officials said the new policy had been completed, except for some legal details relating to the Civil Aviation Act, 2006.

Private jet ownership in Nigeria grew by 650 per cent from 20 in 2007 to over 150 jets in 2012.

Some wealthy Nigerians had acquired at least 130 private jets with a sum of N1.02tn ($6.5bn) in the last five years, it was gathered.

Some stakeholders, however, reasoned that the new general aviation policy was part of government’s plans to grow Nigeria’s private jet sector, apart from building more private jet terminals at various airports across the country.

YOU THINKING OF RETIRING EARLY AND STILL FINANCIALLY COMFORTABLE??? TIPS

Many of us want to retire early. That early retirement age might be 35, 40, or 50, but the idea is to retire sometime before the age of 65 and start enjoying life — before age and infirmity catch up with you.

The reality, though, is that the dream of early retirement will remain a dream unless you take action.
Here are 5 steps to take that will help you reach your goals of early retirement:•

Make early retirement a priority
 You say you want to retire early, but have you made the necessary commitment? Look at the way you use your financial resources. What do your actions say about your financial priorities? If you really want to retire early, you have to make it a priority — and you’ll have to make tradeoffs.
 That means that you have to give up less important things in the present in order to achieve your long-term priority of early retirement.•

Be Realistic in your expectations
 Next, you need to look at your financial situation realistically. If you’re 35, have no savings plan, and $10,000 in your retirement account, you’re going to have to make some very big changes in order to retire by age 50. Look at realistic investment returns (not the 10% predictions that many tout for stocks), and plan for conservative returns. Any plans you make must be based in reality.•

Create a plan
 Armed with the willingness to commit and realistic expectations, it’s time to create a plan. Your early retirement plan should help you save enough money each month to reach your retirement goals. This means that you have to consider cutting your expenses, and changing what you do with your money, in order to meet the requirements of your plan. And don’t forget about having an investment strategy, as well. Investing is the only way to build up enough wealth to retire early and comfortably.•

Make your plan work
 You need to put effort into making your plan work. This might mean cutting unnecessary expenses from your budget. It might mean spending less and hoarding your money until you reach your goals. It’s true: trying to retire early can mean sacrifice now.Another way to make your plan work is to increase the amount of money you make. If you know you won’t make your goal of early retirement in 20 years and you just can’t cut it anymore, try to earn more money. Improve your marketability so that you qualify for a pay raise.

Start a side hustle.
 Look for ways to increase your income so that you can put more money towards making your early retirement plan work.•

Don’t forget diversity
 Don’t forget diversity as you invest and adhere to your plan. You need the right asset allocation to see retirement portfolio success. It can also help to build diverse sources of income that can help you weather various storms before and during the retirement years. With the right income sources and asset allocation, you can get through setbacks without putting your early retirement goal at risk.
