The wife, went into Noah’s Yard which has a history of changing the words on its sign to ask for the sign to be put up at the weekend .She said the reason behind her doing it was to name and shame her husband after finding out he allegedly had an affair. She said:

'I was angry and upset so wanted a sign to go up for everyone to see, When I found out I went through a mixture of emotions but felt angry and wanted him to pay. I had a drink in the bar on Tuesday and decided to get my own back. We have been married for years and it is so sad it has come to this. I am absolutely devastated and going through a really tough time at the moment. A lot of my friends and family have seen it and have been supporting me. I did feel a bit better once the sign went up. I wanted to name and shame him.'

 The wife said she had messaged Paul to tell him to go read the sign and he was furious when he saw it.

 However, neighbors have backed the woman's efforts to get her own back.

How To

Step 1

Brush your hair upwards with the hair brush and pull slightly upwards while brushing. You could add in some leave-in conditioner now to untangle the hair.

Step 2

Place the hair rope or shoe lace at the nape of your hair and wrap it to the front of your head. After you have done this, slightly push the rope upward while pulling the string tighter to keep the hair in place. When you have gotten to about 2 inches away from your forehead, stop pushing the string and tie it securely.

Step 3

Section the hair in the middle of your head out. Add a little leave-in conditioner to the section and make a loose twist. Do the same to the remaining part of the hair but this time securing the ends with a bobby pin and pinning it to the original section in the middle of your head.

Step 4

After the twists are done all over, take off the hair string and brush the hair again. Then apply some mousse to the edges and brush again. Then reapply the hair string as stated in Step 2.

16-Year-Old Nigerian/American Girl Among The 50 Smartest Teenagers In The World

Nigerian girl, Saheela Ibraheem, whose name has been buzzing in the headlines lately as a promising talent, has reserved a place among "The World's 50 Smartest Teenagers" list.

The young girl, only 16, made it to headlines earlier this year when she was accepted into Harvard University, making her one of the youngest students ever to attend that school.

 Making a record in the US, Saheela was accepted at 13 other colleges, including prestigious MIT, the University of Pennsylvania, Cornell, Brown, Princeton, Columbia, and the University of Chicago.

In the end, Saheela chose Harvard, based on her seven-year-old brother's advice who also dreams of being admitted to Harvard.

Saheela believes the key to success is knowing what you love to learn as early as possible, a knowledge she says she achieved at age five. Known as polite and humble, the Muslim prodigy said that her Nigerian parents, totally supportive of the young scholar, sometimes taught her subjects the schools didn't offer. Saheela, who dons the Islamic veil, or hijab, plays softball, soccer, and the trombone.

She also sings in the school choir and serves as president of the school's investment club. The promising girl plans to major in either neurobiology or neuroscience, and hopes to become a scientist in order to study how the brain works.

 Despite her activities, she said her number one priority was her family. "I try my best in everything I do," Saheela said, confirming that there is nothing special about her brain. "Anyone who's motivated can work wonders."

SAD : No Nigerian Universities Listed In Top 400 In World University Rankings 2013/2014

The latest World University Rankings for 2013/2014 has no Nigerian University in the top 400 positions.

A study by the Times Higher Education's World University Rankings has shown that no Nigerian university made the top 400 in the world.

 

The report, 'World University Rankings 2013-2014,' which was released on Wednesday, also showed that no African university was on the list of 100 most reputable in the world.

 

The top 10 universities in the world, according to the report, are the California Institute of Technology, with 94.9 aggregate score. It was followed by Harvard University (USA), 93.9; University of Oxford (UK), 93.9; Stanford University (USA), 93.8.

 Others are the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), 93.0; Princeton University (USA), 92.7; University of Cambridge (UK), 92.3; University of California, Berkeley (USA), 89.8; University of Chicago (USA), 87.8; and the Imperial College, London (UK), 87.5.

In Africa, only three South African institutions made the list. They are the University of Cape Town, ranking 126th and scoring 50.5; University of Witwatersrand, between 226th and 250th; and the Stellenbosch University, between 301st and 350th.

 The UK varsities top the list in Europe, with Oxford University as the leader, followed by the University of Cambridge and Imperial College, London. ETH Zürich-Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zürich (Switzerland) is fourth in Europe and 14th in the world. The University College, London (UK) is fifth and 21st in the world.

 The University of Tokyo (Japan), 23rd in the world, is leading in Asia. The National University of Singapore, 26th in the world, is second in the continent. Others are the University of Hong Kong, 43rd in the world; Seoul National University (Republic of Korea), 44th in the world; and the Peking University (China), 45th.

 In North America, the USA had the top 19 universities. The University of Toronto (Canada) came 20th, at 78.3.

The University of Sao Paulo (Brazil) leads in South America and ranks between 226th and 250th. The University of the Andes came second between 251st and 275th; State University of Campinas (Brazil) is third between 301st and 350th.

Australia has the first five universities in the Oceania. They are the University of Melbourne (34th), Australian National University (48th), University of Queensland (63rd), University of Sydney (72nd) and the Monash University (91st).

 The Times said the rankings "are the only global university performance tables to judge world-class universities across all of their core missions — teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook."

It added that, "The top universities rankings employ 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available, which are trusted by students, academics, university leaders, industry and governments."

By reputation, however, the organization said Harvard University had 100 per cent. It was followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (87.6 per cent), University of Cambridge (81.3), University of Oxford (73.0) and the University of California, Berkeley (72.4).
The report said the 'World Reputation Rankings' employed the world's largest invitation-only academic opinion survey to provide the definitive list of the top 100 most powerful global university brands.

Apple Knocks Off Coca-Cola To Become World's Most Valuable Brand

APPLE is the new most valuable brand in the world, according to a closely followed annual report.

The report,  is from Interbrand, a corporate identity and brand consulting company owned by the Omnicom Group that has been compiling what it calls the Best Global Brands report since 2000. The previous No. 1 brand, Coca-Cola, fell to No. 3.

Not only has Apple replaced Coca-Cola as first among the 100 most valuable brands based on criteria that include financial performance, this is the first time that the soft drink known for slogans like "It's the real thing" has not been No. 1.

The 2013 report begins: "Every so often, a company changes our lives, not just with its products, but with its ethos. This is why, following Coca-Cola's 13-year run at the top of Best Global Brands, Interbrand has a new No. 1 — Apple."

The report estimates the value of the Apple brand at $98.3 billion, up 28 percent from the 2012 report. The value of the Coca-Cola brand also rose, by 2 percent to $79.2 billion, but that was not sufficient to give Coca-Cola a 14th year as Interbrand's most valuable brand.

The top 10 Best Global Brands for 2013, five are in technology: Apple; Google; Microsoft, No. 5, unchanged from last year; Samsung, 8, compared with 9 last year; and Intel, 9, compared with 8 last year.

 Among other transformative technology brands that performed well in the new report was Facebook, which climbed to 52 from 69 last year, its first year on the list.

However, not all technology brands fared well. BlackBerry, which tumbled last year to 93 from 56 in 2011, has disappeared from the list. And Nokia, which dropped to 19 from 14 in 2011, finished this year in 57th place — "the biggest faller" among the 100.
Among nontechnology brands, a notable addition to the list was Chevrolet, at 89, the first General Motors brand to rank among the Best Global Brands.
Last year, when Coca-Cola finished atop the Best Global Brands list for the 13th consecutive time, an executive at the Coca-Cola Company acknowledged the streak but noted that "nothing lasts forever."
If it is consolation, Coca-Cola remains far ahead of Apple and Google in likes on Facebook fan pages. Coca-Cola has 73.2 million, compared with 9.8 million for Apple and 15.1 million for Google.

Mass Exodus Hits COZA After Alleged Sex Scandal Of Pastor

While many still doubt the authenticity of the allegations, some light-hearted members of the church are gradually leaving the church.

This, Daily Post learnt during a recent visit to the Lagos branch of the church, situated in Maryland, Ikeja. Our findings revealed that many aggrieved members and deacons have left the church since the authority of the church decided to sweep the matter under the carpet. When our correspondent inquired from a member why the church looked so empty on a Sunday, he was told the population of the church was reducing drastically on weekly bases. "I think this started not quiet long. Last week was even the worst; you could see empty seats everywhere," the fair complexioned female member said.

 Asked if the man of God had come out to deny or admit the allegation, the member said they've warned them never to talk about it anywhere, until he (Pastor Abiodun) hears from God. "I think this is one of the reasons many members are leaving. The church authority had warned us never to talk about the issue until the man of God speaks, and I think many are beginning to find it hard to believe. "His members had since called on the pastor to come clean on the adultery allegations, but he prefers to remain silent until God says otherwise.

Our sources revealed that the church stands divided because of the incident. While many insisted that the pastor should speak out, others are of the opinion that since God asked him to keep quite, he should wait until he says otherwise. A member was quoted as saying, "God can't ask you to keep quiet in this matter because his name is at stake too. The church of God is being accused here and the same God is telling him to keep quiet? That is immaterial, I can't accept that. "Findings further revealed that the preacher is currently working behind the scene to 'bury' the allegation. The preacher has vowed to put an end to the ugly development that has soiled his hard-earned name and reputation.

We were also told that the man of God is making effort to reach out to the media to clear the mess and get the whole issue out of the public domain. Austrian Baker Sued €4,000 For Showing Penis-Shaped Cake To Two Female Assistant

The owner of a bakery was sued by two female workers for showing them gingerbread biscuits shaped like erect penises and topped with whipped cream.

Unexpected Spa and Pool Combo by Caviness Landscape Design

This plan for White Fences Estate by Caviness Landscape Design was a challenge the designers loved. As they put it, “In the design, we put the spa in the middle of the pool. We then thought of how cool it would be to keep the spa hidden under the water level when it is in normal pool mode operation.” So they did: when spa mode is activated, the water level of the pool drops an inch and a half, revealing a glass-tiled spa and stone beam bridge from the patio. And that “hidden spa” is only one unusual feature of this multi-pool design. The “pool” is actually two pools: one is 46 feet long by 22 feet wide and has a diving rock at one end; to get to the spa from this main body of water, swimmers go through a faux rock tunnel! Swimmers can also enter the spa, of course, over the stone path…a truly ingenious layout.

The already fun layout is enhanced further by the waterfall, which is activated in either spa or pool modes. Customized colored lighting was installed to up-light the boulders and falls area as well as illuminate the pool for nighttime swimming fun. A spacious flagstone deck provides plenty of room for entertaining around the water; towering pines behind the waterfall create a “forest” illusion that adds to the ambience. And this design is also a prize-winner: the APSP (Association of Pool and Spa Professionals) has given it their “Gold” award in the category of Spas Built in Conjunction with Swimming Pools. The clients, of course, don’t care too much about the award part — they’re too busy having fun off that diving rock.
