WORKER QUITS BY BAKING A CAKE AND WRITING RESIGNATION LETTER IN ICING (LET'S HOPE HE ISN’T MADE TO EAT HIS WORDS!)

A Border Agency employee stunned his bosses with bizarre resignation letter iced on to a cake.

Chris Holmes penned his resignation letter to the UK Border Agency at Stansted Airport on a homemade cake.

 Chris Holmes, 31, who worked at Stansted Airport, tweeted a picture of the note to resign from his job and pursue his dream to run a bakery business.

Mr Homes said: 'I handed in the cake in person to the duty manager. I think he was pleasantly surprised.

'It was a passion cake - a carrot cake made with coconut, pecans, sultanas and orange buttercream.

'The lettering was a bit tricky because there were so many words and was quite fiddly.

The resignation seemed like the natural choice for a cakemaker with a whimsical sense of humour.

'I thought it was a good natured resignation and hopefully left a nice taste in their mouths.

'I’d been planning it for six-months but kept it to myself because I wasn’t sure when I would be leaving.'

'I’d been working with the UK Border Agency for around seven years and set up the cake business in July 2010.

'I decided that my passion lies with food and wanted to spend more time at home with my son Ben.'

The former civil servant stunned employees by adding a touching message to the confectionery.

He wrote: ‘Having recently become a father I now realise how precious life is and how important it is to spend my time doing something that makes me and other people happy.

‘For that reason I hereby give notice of my resignation, in order that I may devote my time and energy to my family, and to my cake business which has grown steadily over the past few years.

 

I wish the organisation and my colleagues the best for the future .

’The picture of the ‘resignation cake’ came to light when it was tweeted by his relative Stuart Jackson.

He tweeted: 'So, my brother-in-law has resigned from his 9-to-5 job in spectacular fashion. Jerry Maguire meets Masterchef.'

SAUDI PREACHER WHO 'RAPED & TORTURED' HIS FIVE -YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER TO DEATH IS RELEASED AFTER PAYING 'BLOOD MONEY'

A "celebrity" Saudi preacher accused of raping, torturing and killing his five-year-old daughter has reportedly been released from custody after agreeing to pay "blood money".

Fayhan al-Ghamdi had been accused of killing his daughter Lama, who suffered multiple injuries including a crushed skull, broken back, broken ribs, a broken left arm and extensive bruising and burns. Social workers say she had also been repeatedly raped and burnt.

Fayhan al-Ghamdi admitted using a cane and cables to inflict the injuries after doubting his five-year-old daughter’s virginity and taking her to a doctor, according to the campaign group Women to Drive.

Rather than getting the death penalty or receiving a long prison sentence for the crime, Fayhan al-Ghamdi served only a few months in jail before a judge ruled the prosecution could only seek "blood money".

Albawaba News reported the judge as saying: "Blood money and the time the defendant had served in prison since Lama's death suffices as punishment."

Fayhan al-Ghamdi, who regularly appears on television in Saudi Arabia, is said to have agreed to pay  $46,934 to Lama’s mother.

The money is considered compensation under Islamic law, although it is only half the amount that would have been paid had Lama been a boy.

Despite Saudi Arabia’s famously strict legal system, Women to Drive say fathers cannot be executed for murdering their children in the country.

Equally, husbands cannot be executed for murdering their wives.

Formal objections to the ruling have been raised by three Saudi activists, and the twitter hashtag #AnaLama (which translates as I Am Lama) has been set up.

Local reports say public anger over the settlement is growing across Saudi Arabia, with authorities planning to set up a 24-hour hotline to take calls about child abuse.

Are We Bullying Our Young Artists?

How can we ask for our young stars to have a high level of responsibility if we are not demonstrating that same level of responsibility towards them? This last week, I had to really evaluate the communication in regard to our young artists in the media. I was trying to differentiate cyber-bullying from how we attack and ridicule our young stars through media and social networks. It is as if we have forgotten what it means to be young or even how to behave like good old grown folks.

Do we feel as though we can say and do what we please without demonstrating any responsibility simply because they are famous? Is it okay to continually attack and criticize a famous 19 year old who is simply trying to build a life, exercise his talents while figuring out what manhood and fame is all about as he carries the weight of supporting his family as well as providing the paychecks to others who depend on him to work so they can feed their families as well? Does that render being called a c–t by an adult male photographer as you try to return to your hotel after leaving the the hospital? Or what about our nine year old beautiful Oscar nominee who was referred to as a cunt as well? Or what about being a young woman in her early twenties, exploring the [intricacies] of love and power on the world stage? And should we shame a young woman for displaying a sense of innocence as she navigates through the murky waters of love, heartbreak, and fame?

Are these young people not allowed to be young, make mistakes, grow, and eventually transform a million times before our eyes? Are we asking them to defy the laws of nature because of who they are? Why can’t we congratulate them for the capacity to work through their challenges on a world stage and still deliver products that keep them on top. We all know how hard it is to keep our head above water, even in the privacy of our own homes let alone on the world stage. Imagine yourself, at their age, with the spotlights, challenges and responsibilities.

 Most of us would have fallen by the way side before we could even get to a crashed Ferrari, a controversial romance, several heart breaks, or an Oscar nomination at nine. We wish we could have had the capacity to accomplish half of what they have accomplished along with all these challenges they face. But…maybe that's the problem…we WISH we could have or even…we WISH we could."

3. ACCESSORIES: The number one rule for accessories that every woman should know is that less is more. You can wear statement earrings or a statement necklace, but not both. Your accessories should compliment the outfit and the colour scheme of the outfit.

4. CHANGING YOUR OWN TIRE: Okay ladies, we can do this! It’s actually a very simple process. First of all and probably most obvious; make sure that your parking break is on and that the car will not roll.

Now, raise the jack so it is supporting the car. Remove the hubcap and unscrew and remove the lug nuts doing one then the one opposite of it until all are removed. Now you can remove the flat tire. Put the new tire onto the wheel studs with the air valve facing out. After that you can replace the lug nuts in the same pattern that you took them off (make sure they’re tight!). Put the hubcap back on and lower the jack. You’re finished!

5. FINDING THE RIGHT BRA SIZE: Did you know that more than 50% of women wear the wrong bra size? It’s very easy to find your right size. To start, wear a comfortable bra without padding. Take the measuring tape and measure around your chest right underneath your breasts. This measurement is your band size (if it’s an odd number then add 1"). 8. CPR: Be a hero, know your CPR. To start, check the person for breathing, by tilting their head back. If there is no breathing then you start mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Plug their nose and cover their mouth with yours and breath 2 breaths into them, each breath being about 1 second long. Now look for responsiveness; breathing, coughing, or moving should occur, if not, start chest compressions. Place your hands in the middle of the person’s nipples and pump your hands up and down 1 ½ inches to 2 inches with each pump being less than 1 second. Do this 30 times. Repeat both steps until help arrives.

 

9: PREVENTING HEART DISEASE: Heart disease is the number one killer of woman in the world. Luckily there are many ways to prevent it. Tobacco and stress contribute massively to heart disease so try your best to stay smoke-free and de-stressed. Having a good diet will help too, you are more likely to have heart disease if you have high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, or are obese.

 

10: SELF BREAST EXAM: Spotting breast cancer early on can save your life. You always do a self-breast exam lying down. When checking your right breast, place your right palm under your head and use the left hand to check. Use the pads of your three middle fingers and go in a circle motion overlapping to check for bumps. You’ll need to use different types of pressure; light for the tissue closest to the skin, a mild pressure for deeper and firm pressure to feel the tissue closet to the chest and ribs. To make sure you check the whole breast, go in a line down the breast then a line right next to that line and so on. Repeat on right side. Call your doctor immediately if you find anything.

Ex-Cop Found Guilty Of Savagely Murdering 1-Year-Old Daughter “He Beat The Tar Out That Baby”

A former Jackson police detective is likely to spend the rest of his life behind bars.

After an emotional trial that lasted nearly two weeks, a jury early Thursday evening found Natyyo Gray guilty of capital murder in the death of his 1-year-old daughter Zoe.
“This was certainly a horrible, horrible thing,” Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith said after the verdict was issued. “It’s kind of hard to describe how this could have possibly been at the hands of the father.”

Prosecutors delivered their closing arguments with an image of a smiling, healthy Zoe shown on the projector as they spoke, a stark contrast from the gruesome images they showed of Zoe Brown’s mangled body earlier in the trial.
At the time of her death, Zoe had sustained bruises to her forehead, back and pelvis, along with extensive abdominal bruising and a large hematoma on the top of her head. She also had a lacerated liver and pancreas and was bleeding from her anus. An autopsy determined she bled to death after being beaten.
In his closing arguments, Assistant District Attorney Jamie McBride repeatedly asked jurors to put “the animal” who hurt her behind bars.
“He beat the tar out of that little baby,” McBride said grimly.

But his attorney has pledged to appeal the ruling.

“It will definitely be appealed. We feel there are issues of the law that need to be addressed by the Mississippi Supreme Court in this matter.”
He would not elaborate on what those issues were, adding only that there were “numerous” things that the high court should look at.
While waiting for jurors to return a verdict, Gray sat quietly, his hands folded in his lap.
Later, as bailiffs escorted him from the courtroom, Gray turned calmly to someone in the audience and said, “I’ll see you.”

He should be put down immediately. His incarceration will cost taxpayers thousands of dollars depending on how long he lives. 20 years will cost close to a million dollars. One shot would be perfect. What do prisoners think of baby killers, especially ex cops?

Meet Woman That Married Herself After Being Tired Of Waiting For Mr. Right!

Nadine Schweigert married herself in a beautiful ceremony attended by 300 guests.

The 36-year-old divorced mom of three wore blue satin and clutched a bouquet of white roses as she walked down the aisle before a gathering of 45 friends and family members in Fargo, North Dakota. She vowed to “to enjoy inhabiting my own life and to relish a lifelong love affair with my beautiful self”.

After the ring was exchanged with the bride and her inner-groom, guests were encouraged to “blow kisses at the world,” and later, eat cake.

“I feel very empowered, very happy, very joyous … I want to share that with people, and also the people that were in attendance, it’s a form of accountability,” Nadien Schweigert said.

Schweigert said the ceremony was a celebration of how far she’d come since her painful divorce six years ago that led to her two children to decide to live with her ex-husband.

14-Year-Old Girl Ordered Boyfriend To Stab Schoolboy To Death

A 14-year-old girl "set up" a schoolboy to be stabbed to death by her boyfriend after a row over football.She called her 16-year-old boyfriend to a housing estate in Brixton, south London, where he killed keen footballer Junior Nkwelle, 15. The court heard Junior and his friends had been playing football on a grassy area when an argument broke out.

The youngster was stabbed in the chest after the older boy arrived on a bus and started fighting with him. He died on the makeshift pitch on the Loughborough estate in September, last year, after the knife cut his heart and a lung. The girl and her boyfriend, who is now 17, deny murder. They cannot be named for legal reasons.

Prosecutor Jonathan Turner told jurors it was likely Junior and his alleged killer did not know each other and there was no quarrel between them. Mr Turner said: "He (the defendant) had been telephoned by his girlfriend and told to come to the estate to teach Junior Nkwelle a lesson. There had been an argument between her friends and Junior’s friends whilst the football was going on. She thought that Junior had insulted her or been less than respectful to her. She was very angry and determined that he should be punished - indeed stabbed - to put things right. The defendant was encouraged and requested by her to come and do this. Indeed, to use  an old-fashioned phrase, was "set up" by her to do this."

Mr Turner said the children had been arguing earlier in the evening. It might have been because the boys were thought to be playing too close to flats or that the girls were walking over the pitch. "Whatever it was, it seems to have been stupid and trivial and completely unnecessary," he added. The trial continues.
